September 25th- School Picture Make-up Day- All Programs
HR Imaging will be at our campus on September 27th from 9 AM until 3 PM for individuals who have not had their picture taken or are unhappy with their purchased photos. If you wish to retake your photos, bring your purchased prints to be returned. There is no schedule for this date, please make arrangements with your instructor before leaving class.
At the Delaware Area Career Center, we prioritize the well-being and academic success of our students. If a student feels unwell after they have already arrived on campus, we encourage them to visit the clinic, where our healthcare professional will provide care and support. In the event that a student needs to go home, we will personally contact a parent or guardian to arrange this. The student will then be able to leave directly from the clinic as soon as their ride arrives, streamlining the process for everyone.
We kindly ask that students refrain from directly contacting parents to pick them up during school hours. This approach ensures minimal disruption to classes and allows our teachers to maintain an effective learning environment. We appreciate your cooperation and understanding in this collaborative effort to support our students' health and education.
DACC has an online school spirit store where you can purchase your favorite clothing items and accessories and have them delivered directly to your home. Most designs can be customized to include your lab name or our vision to empower, prepare, inspire, and connect all students.
If you've ever wanted to find out why your child enjoys coming to DACC every day, see for yourself what they experience and learn a little more about their career ambitions. In select programs, we are offering evening classes for adults, including:
Microsoft 365 Excel Basic - 8/27
Welding - 9/03
Advanced Welding PT 2 - 9/24
Microsoft 365 Word - 10/08
Automotive Essentials - 10/15
Microsoft 365 PowerPoint - 10/22
New - Broadband Infrastructure Training Program
Designed to meet the growing demand for skilled professionals in the broadband and telecommunications sector, this program offers adults the opportunity to pivot into a promising career field or enhance their existing skills. Classes begin in September.

Regardless of the first day of school in your home district, transportation will be running from the home schools to DACC beginning August 14th.
If you know in advance that your child will be absent or tardy, fill out the Absence Form found on our website or the homepage of the DACC app.
See our Attendance FAQ for more information as well as calendars to all of our home schools and contact information for home school transportation departments.
At DACC, we are using Canvas as our Learning Management System (LMS). Canvas is a web-based learning management system that gives instructors, students, and parents access to view and manage online course learning materials.
Additionally, the system empowers instructors, students, and parents to communicate about skill development and learning achievement.
Visit our website for more detailed information about Canvas, including:
How to set up an account
How students can set up a pairing code for a parent or guardian (get started with instructions on how to set up a pairing code here)
What you can and cannot do with Canvas
How to download the app
We also use Powerschool to display student grades and attendance.
While Canvas provides an interactive view of what is currently being assigned and submitted in a given class, PowerSchool publishes grades and attendance when that information has been finalized and submitted by the instructor. We encourage all parents and students to log into PowerSchool regularly to review these items.
More information about Powerschool and how to set up your account can be found on our website here. Please note that if you are already using PowerSchool at your student's associate district, you will need to create a new account for DACC using a different email address than the email address you are already using for your existing account.
