Dear DACC Students and Families,
Thank you to everyone who made the start of the 2025-2026 school year such a great experience for our students! We spent the first few days getting to know the building and each other, which will lay the groundwork for a productive and impactful school year. The more we get to know our students, the more we can personalize what they learn and how they learn it.
The energy our students brought to the building was certainly missed over the summer.
Please continue reading below for important updates and upcoming events to ensure you have a successful kickoff to the 2025-2026 school year.
If you have any questions along the way, please don’t hesitate to reach out to us at 740-548-0708. We’re here to help!

At DACC, we are using Canvas as our Learning Management System (LMS). Canvas is a web-based learning management system that gives instructors, students, and parents access to view and manage online course learning materials.
Additionally, the system empowers instructors, students, and parents to communicate about skill development and learning achievement.
Visit our website for more detailed information about Canvas, including:
How to set up an account
How students can set up a pairing code for a parent or guardian (get started with instructions on how to set up a pairing code here)
What you can and cannot do with Canvas
How to download the app
We also use Powerschool to display student grades and attendance.
While Canvas provides an interactive view of what is currently being assigned and submitted in a given class, PowerSchool publishes grades and attendance when that information has been finalized and submitted by the instructor. We encourage all parents and students to log into PowerSchool regularly to review these items.
More information about Powerschool and how to set up your account can be found on our website here. Please note that if you are already using PowerSchool at your student's associate district, you will need to create a new account for DACC using a different email address than the email address you are already using for your existing account.
At the Delaware Area Career Center, the safety of our students and staff is always our top priority. As we begin this school year, we are introducing the CENTEGIX® Safety Platform, including the CrisisAlert™ system. This innovative technology equips our staff with wearable badges that allow them to quickly and discreetly request help from anywhere on campus—whether for medical needs, behavior concerns, or more urgent situations. CrisisAlert also provides audio and visual notifications throughout the building during campus-wide emergencies, helping everyone know how to respond right away.
With this system, all staff members are empowered to initiate alerts when needed, which means families may hear about lockdowns or safety notifications more often than in the past. It’s important to know that not all alerts indicate a major threat—some are activated for medical or behavioral reasons. This added layer of safety ensures that help arrives quickly whenever it’s needed.
We are excited to bring this technology to DACC because every second matters when it comes to protecting our school community.
DACC promotes parental involvement in the public school system. Please take a moment to review your child’s syllabus or syllabi in Canvas.
DACC has an online school spirit store where you can purchase your favorite clothing items and accessories and have them delivered directly to your home. Most designs can be customized to include your lab name or our vision to empower, prepare, inspire, and connect all students.
If you've ever wanted to find out why your child enjoys coming to DACC every day, see for yourself what they experience and learn a little more about their career ambitions. Adult Education offers career development programs and enrichment classes for adults. Current available courses include:
