Scholarships for Seniors

This is the busiest time of the year to apply for Scholarships for post-high school opportunities.

Please use resources at your homeschool and DACC to learn about Scholarship opportunities and the deadlines for them.

Please check your homeschools website on how they announce scholarships.  At DACC, scholarships are posted on the School Counselor Canvas page.

Here are some important scholarships and deadlines coming soon.  Again, please use your provided resources for additional opportunities

Marion County Foundation deadline: February 11, 2025, at 1 PM.
Builder’s Exchange deadline February 21, 2025
Delaware County Foundation deadline: February 28, 2025
Columbus Foundation deadline: March 1, 2025

Scholarship websites that offer a wide range of options both local and nationally include College Board’s Big Future, Fastweb & Scholarships.com

It is important to know the preceding foundations have scholarships for students outside of the county as well. (ie. Marion County Foundation has scholarships that Delaware or Franklin County students qualify for.)  Also, parents, be sure to watch for scholarship options at your place of work, bank, church, union, etc.

Many scholarships require a FAFSA to be completed to apply.  Complete the FAFSA immediately to not miss out on possible scholarship opportunities.  Also, many colleges have deadlines very soon to qualify for financial aid, the FAFSA is often required for this.

Best of luck and reach out to your student’s School Counselor for assistance.

In addition, notices will be posted to our website and social media accounts.

Fees

We would like to remind you that fees for the 2024-2025 school year are now due. You can check your fee balances on PowerSchool. Additionally, charges have been applied to the accounts of students who have received a new Chromebook. For more information, visit the fees webpage or reach out to Lilian Robinson at 740-203-2230 if you have any questions.

Illness Procedure

At the Delaware Area Career Center, we prioritize the well-being and academic success of our students. If a student feels unwell after they have already arrived on campus, we encourage them to visit the clinic, where our healthcare professional will provide care and support. In the event that a student needs to go home, we will personally contact a parent or guardian to arrange this. The student will then be able to leave directly from the clinic as soon as their ride arrives, streamlining the process for everyone.

We kindly ask that students refrain from directly contacting parents to pick them up during school hours. This approach ensures minimal disruption to classes and allows our teachers to maintain an effective learning environment. We appreciate your cooperation and understanding in this collaborative effort to support our students' health and education.

Attendance and Transportation

Regardless of the first day of school in your home district, transportation will be running from the home schools to DACC beginning August 14th.

If you know in advance that your child will be absent or tardy, fill out the Absence Form found on our website or the homepage of the DACC app.

See our Attendance FAQ for more information as well as calendars to all of our home schools and contact information for home school transportation departments.
