Scholarship websites that offer a wide range of options both local and nationally include College Board’s Big Future, Fastweb & Scholarships.com
It is important to know the preceding foundations have scholarships for students outside of the county as well. (ie. Marion County Foundation has scholarships that Delaware or Franklin County students qualify for.) Also, parents, be sure to watch for scholarship options at your place of work, bank, church, union, etc.
Many scholarships require a FAFSA to be completed to apply. Complete the FAFSA immediately to not miss out on possible scholarship opportunities. Also, many colleges have deadlines very soon to qualify for financial aid, the FAFSA is often required for this.
Best of luck and reach out to your student’s School Counselor for assistance.
From February 25th - 27th, DACC will administer the State-Funded ACT to all FULL-DAY JUNIORS.
Benefits of taking the ACT may include:
Increase in chances of admission to competitive colleges and universities
Qualify for scholarships and financial aid
Gauge academic progress and identify areas for improvement
Some reasons why students may not need/want to take the ACT include:
Preferring the SAT: Your student plans to take the SAT at their Home High School instead of the ACT.
College or Career Path: Your student’s post-graduation plans do not require the ACT (e.g., trade school, workforce, or community college).
Test-Optional Colleges: Your student is applying to colleges that do not require ACT scores for admission.
If you do NOT want your FULL-DAY JUNIOR to take the ACT at DACC in February 2025, please complete this ACT Opt-Out form

At the Delaware Area Career Center, we prioritize the well-being and academic success of our students. If a student feels unwell after they have already arrived on campus, we encourage them to visit the clinic, where our healthcare professional will provide care and support. In the event that a student needs to go home, we will personally contact a parent or guardian to arrange this. The student will then be able to leave directly from the clinic as soon as their ride arrives, streamlining the process for everyone.
We kindly ask that students refrain from directly contacting parents to pick them up during school hours. This approach ensures minimal disruption to classes and allows our teachers to maintain an effective learning environment. We appreciate your cooperation and understanding in this collaborative effort to support our students' health and education.
Regardless of the first day of school in your home district, transportation will be running from the home schools to DACC beginning August 14th.
If you know in advance that your child will be absent or tardy, fill out the Absence Form found on our website or the homepage of the DACC app.
See our Attendance FAQ for more information as well as calendars to all of our home schools and contact information for home school transportation departments.
