Dear Seniors and Families,
We are excited to celebrate the accomplishments of the Delaware Area Career Center’s Class of 2025 at our upcoming Completion Ceremony! This special event honors the hard work, perseverance, and achievements of our students, along with the support provided by our dedicated staff and families.
Ceremony Location & Contingency Planning:
Thanks to our continued partnership with Delaware City Schools, the ceremony will take place outdoors at Cornell Stadium.
When: May 22nd, 7:00 p.m.

As with any outdoor event, we are monitoring the weather closely and have prepared contingency plans should we encounter inclement conditions.
Here’s what you need to know:
This is a rain-or-shine event. If the weather looks like it will pass, we may delay the ceremony, with a start time no later than 9:00 p.m. In the case of light to moderate rain, we will proceed with the event and move through the program efficiently while still honoring our students.
In the event of heavy rain or severe weather that is not expected to clear, we will move students only indoors to the gymnasium at Delaware Hayes High School, where they will be awarded their certificates.
There will be no rain date. With over 600 students in the Class of 2025, finding a suitable alternative venue and date is not feasible without conflicting with associate school graduation ceremonies. We are committed to ensuring students can participate in both their DACC Completion Ceremony and their home school’s graduation.
Communication on Ceremony Day:
We will send real-time updates regarding weather and event plans via phone call, text, and email. Please ensure your contact information is up to date and keep your phone nearby on the day of the ceremony.
The safety of our students, families, and staff is our top priority. We appreciate your flexibility and understanding as we prepare for all possibilities to ensure a meaningful celebration.
